- The Brooklyn Navy Yard requires a visitor pass for entry.
- We use their pass system, which requires:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- We issue passes the day before an event.
365 days a year.
The studio hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Friday.
Shoot and event hours can run earlier or later.
The Brooklyn Navy Yard has 24/7 gated-security.
Yes. Free parking is available inside the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
We follow the guidelines of New York State and the City of New York.
Absolutely.
We have a huge (5000 sf) outdoor deck.
Yes. The freight elevator itself is 8’ wide and 11’ deep and 10’ high.
Yes. Deliveries must be coordinated and approved by Ten Ton Studio.
Ten Ton Studio does not provide storage. Deliveries must be picked up the day after a shoot.
The ceilings are 14 ft.
Ten Ton Studio is not a sound stage, but all of the major television networks, film documentaries and musical videos have recorded here.
Yes. It is 22 ft wide x 24’ deep.
Yes. It is brand-new with an induction stove. (We have pans.)
There is a Wegmans inside the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Ten Ton Studio holds the first option on EQ rental.
There is a load-in fee for EQ not rented through Ten Ton.
We can provide a courtesy hold. No hold is guaranteed until payment is received.
Yes. The client with the courtesy hold will have 24 hours to respond. Then they must book or release. Should they release, the challenger will be required to book that same day.
All rental charges must be paid in advance via credit card.
All bookings are with valid credit cards.
If a shoot is paid for and then cancelled, we will offer an alternate date. Ten Ton Studio does not issue refunds.
All set construction requires written approval.
No fire, candles, glitter, fog, etc. without prior, written approval.
Yes. We have a Marshall Bluetooth amplifier.
For shoots, no real limit. For events, 120 people.
Not without approval from the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation.
We offer 200amps/3phase on three different legs.
